I bought this early 80's CCM bmx this summer. I want to restore it but finding any info is turning out tougher then I thought. Anyone else have one like it. Looking for colors and decals. Thanks.
With the exception of the cutout design in the gusset, that's a dead ringer for the competition BMX frame in my 1981 catalogue. This frame was used on both the Firebird and Laguana models. These models were introduced in 1980 but I only have the price list for that year, so I have no images and the colours aren't stated. The 1981 models were black, and the 1982 price list states black also. In 1982 there were also three additional upscale Competion BMX models that probably used the same frame; the Bullet in red with Zytel Mag wheels, the Magnum in chrome with Zytel mag wheels and the Team in black with alloy components.
