1936 Chrome CCM Roadster

I thought that I would post a few pictures of a custom 1936 CCM Columbia Roadster that I have owned for several years. I believe that this bicycle was made by CCM for Mr. John Heil, the owner of Norwood Cycle in Edmonton. This bicycle could be seen hanging in the window of Norwood Cycle for many years at was quite an attraction. Occasionally, it was taken down and ridden in parades. It has almost every option on it, including a deluxe speedometer, horn, lighting system, and Sturmey Archer internal expanding brakes. The odometer reads slightly more than 250 miles. This bicycle is in very good shape and has never been restored. Even the Dunlop Fort tires are still reasonably supple.

It took me 10 years to convince Len Heil, the son of John Heil, to part with this bicycle, which now hangs on display in my basement.
