1939 CCM Motorbike pedal info required

Hi everyone. My wife and I are the proud owners of inherited vintage CCM bicycles. A men's 1939 (according to the serial # I found on this site) CCM Motorbike and a 1945 CCM Ladies bike Unfortunately the left pedal on the Motorbike failed a few days ago and l am not entirely sure as to how the pedal is attached to the crank arm. It appears the bolt on the end of the pedal axle snapped leaving only the axle without any rubber. Info on aquiring a repair/service manual or exploded view would be great. Would like to keep it as original as possible but willing to go with newer stuff if need be.See attached photos.

Photos soon!

the left pedal non chain ring side can be removed with a 9/16 pedal wrench by turning it clockwise it is a 1/2 inch 20 threads per inch left hand thread if you post a picture of the other pedal maybe someone can help  william rudolph

Thanks for the tips but unfortunately I don't have a pedal wrench. I stripped the bike down to the bare frame and and took it to the nearest bike shop. After a couple of days the shop called me back and were unable to remove the left pedal. He was worried he would snap it off. Okay so on the way back home I dropped it off at a machine shop whose owner said he could get it off. The next day he called and said that even with having applied a little heat it still snapped off. NO! He then added he was able to drill through the center of the broken pedal stub and chip out the remains and saved the threads.Whew! I found some rubber pedals that were a close match and was riding again until a couple days ago. Looks like I need a replacement outside bearing and cone on the rear hub. It's the one which rides between the cup in the sprocket assembly and the cone. The ball bearings are there but no ring to hold them in place. It appears the cone has some serious wear in two places because of that. New advice anyone?

Joel

Just back from the west coast. Sorry for the delay Joel. Here are the photos:

Hope you had a nice trip out west! These bikes are so much fun to ride. Unfortunately we had to leave them behind at the family cottage on Lake Winnipeg. Our home is in Alberta but we're already thinking about next summer!

Thanks Joel. We had a great time in the west. Didn't hardly see half of it tho. Will have to go back. Maybe get Lawrence to give us a tour....by bike, of course.
