1942 CCM Rambler Motorbike?

Picked up a CCM Rambler Motorbike from a gentleman at the Brantford Winter Show. Thanks to Jamie, the first winter show was a great success and a lot of fun for my wife, Cori, and me.  The chrome on the bike is in great shape. The bike appears to be all there except for an incorrect seat, handle grips and a less then desirable paint job. The serial number on the Rambler is 2H0656 which does not appear on the serial number chart (as the chart suggests XFXXXX for 1942). The gentleman that I purchased the Rambler from claimed it to be a 1942. The year seems to correspond with a number of posts that support the year 1942.  Any thoughts or comments?

Hello Mark ,Cori Thanks for attending it was a lot of fun. I wish I had been thinking a little more as I did not record one photo as I usually do, next time!Anyhow my chart has always been XHXXXX for 1942,neat Rambler for your collection in the end.As you know I have a slight weakness for doublebars.Best Regards Jamie

Thanks, Jamie.

I believe I found the source of my confusion. Are both of these charts correct?

Did CCM use F and/or H in 1942?

Hi,  I was the one who sold the bike to you.  If you look at the letters as they cycle through the years on the chart, you will see that the letter "F" does not appear until 1973.  I have seen several "H" bikes that are virtually certainly from 1942, given the wheel size, frame type, and the patent date of the rear hub.

It is confusing.  Has anyone seen an "F" marked CCM that appears to date from before 1973?

This exact conversation came up previously on another thread with the same result. H is 1942 and there were no reports of F coded bikes.
