First : we need pictures to see the bike

second: what is the price ?

What is it that makes it a 1955? From the info I have found on the Sunshine company, they stopped making bikes in 1952.

Howeve hotrodrob, I saw a 1955 sunshine for lady on the internet

Thing is, are they just guessing at the year? As far as I know, there is no way to check the year by the serial numbers. If it had a Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub you could tell by that. But it's not a guarantee that would be right because people switched out wheels all the time. Either way, I hope someone cracks the code on properly dating them if its possible.

I got the bike from the original owner, who remembered the year he bought it. Sunshine didn't make that many changes on their bikes over the years, so it's hard to visually date them. I have this pic of it but the bike is in storage right now so can't get any more until spring.

You haven't mentioned the price yet. Will that be announced soon?    Ron
