CCM Mustang Marauder Project

I've got a CCM Mustang Marauder project that just never got completed. I got the bike in fairly rough cosmetic condition, and stripped it down in prep for a restore. I painted it yellow, and the paintjob didn't turn out that great, which is when it got sidelined. I've got all the parts for it in either used or NOS condition.

Frame and seatpost- very good, but needs re-paint due to peeling paint. It's an earlier frame as it has the holes for the stick shift in it. Will include new decals.

Seat- Mint NOS (new old stock). Sissybar is actually slightly used, but very clean.

Shifter- NOS, available with a black or a white cable.

Forks and headset- Good used condition, some chrome flaking which someone painted over with silver paint.

Rear wheel- either NOS or very close to it. '74 dated hub. Proper rim.

Rear tire- as far as I know the GTX-442 tire is the appropriate one for this bike. The one I have is in fairly rough condition.

Front wheel- NOS, but perhaps not the factory spec wheel? I'm not totally sure on that detail, but it is a very appropriate wheel in any case. Rough front tire.

Chainguard- Usually the hardest part of these bikes to find. This one, unfortunately has a chunk missing from it at a screw hole. You could do as the original owner did, and run a large washer, or see if someone can 'plastic weld' it to patch a piece in. Not something that I'm familiar with, but vintage car guys probably know something about it.

Bar and stem- Correct handlebar. The chrome is a bit dull, and needs some steel wool to remove the rust, but it's serviceable. Stem is proper.

Fenders- Rear is the proper, rare Marauder (longer than mustang). Needs a shine up. Front is not proper, but is NOS and would look good.

Crankset- great condition. It has a larger chainring than some CCMs, but I have a smaller chainring as well. The smaller chainring will clean up nicely. I'm not sure which size is proper to the Marauder.

Brakes levers- NOS, but not CCM.

Dual brakes- very rare, and rusty. I have NOS Mustang brakes that will fit on the Marauder center bolt (that's how CCM did it), which could be worked into the price.

Seat Clamps- NOS.

Pedals- I don't have original CCM pedals but I'll have something period correct.

Anything that's not shiny just needs some TLC to clean it up except the brakes, which would need to be rechromed, or maybe just brushed down and polished and clear coated?

I'm asking 600 for the package, based on the NOS parts. I'm not desperately looking to sell it, but if you're interested reply here and we can talk details, etc over email. Pics are of course available.

You should really post the pictures on this page rather than waiting to be asked. Might get a bit more of an impulse buy that way

I certainly should. Here's a link:
