Emory Bicycle

Hi Everyone 

I found another bicycle today from a manufacturer I don't know. The head badge says it is an Emory bicycle out of Jacksonville Florida. On the bottom of the seat tube it is stamped that it was manufactured by the HP Snyder Manufacturing Co. I looked for a serial number to help date the bike but couldn't find one. From what I found online the Emory Bicycle brand was founded in 1975 but stopped production for a while and has recently resumed it. They are reported to have used only US produced parts, and stopped production when they couldn't find quality parts. The brake arm is marked Shimano so it may be a replacement.

I'd guess this bike is 1970's era, your thoughts?

There may be a Shimano date code on the back of the coaster hub brake arm.

I looked on the back of the coaster hub brake arm, unfortunately nothing was written there. I emailed the pictures to Emory Bicycles, hopefully they'll be able to narrow down a date and let me know the model name. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend.
