Hello from St Catharines

Hello,

I am new to the group.  I live in St Catharines, and I am interested in British and Canadian military bicycles, especially those from the WW1 and WW2 eras.

CCM and Planet "Cadet" bikes were issued to the WW1 cyclists, though they also used BSA and other British military bikes.  During WW2, some CCM bikes were presented to the RCAF, and some may have also been used by the army.

I noticed an ad for an early CCM Cleveland on the Windsor area Kijiji this morning, that may be of interest to people on the group.

Welcome to the Forum David.

I had a great night the other evening at the St. Catharines Museum where they have a sweet sample of a CCM Perfect and a photo of the original owner sitting on it back in the day.

Yes,  Unfortunately I missed your talk, but I have a copy of your great book. I had a recent eye surgery, and had to miss the Brantford bike show also.

A few years ago, a Welland Vale bicycle came up for sale, but the St Catharines museum were so far behind in their cataloguing that they were turning down all donations and artifacts.
