Help with Tires

I've got a CCM Imperial Mark II (I believe) and I'm trying to find some tires that fits the rims. The size on the rim says 26 x 1 1/2, I think that means it's the old Canadian F12 size?

I did a bit of looking around and some people suggest the Kenda Schwinn S-7 Wire Bead Tire (26 x 1-3/4-Inch), will that fit on my bike?

Wow, I was just coming on here to ask the exact same question. I think I am going to go for these white walls myself:

ive picked up an old imperial mark II and the tires that are on the bike say 700x35.... to me they look small... they dont fill the fender very well ....could someone tell me what the stock rim and tire size should be.... i think there may be a chance these rims may have been changed but i would love some clarification.... and or are 26 inch tires interchangable with 700c .

please help

Do the rims have flat sidewalls for brake pads?

Your Imperial should have a coaster brake.

A 700c with ISO # 622 will fit on a 28 inch rim.

I'm guessing someone may have changed rims to a more modern rim.

the rims are able to accomodate a brake pad but they do have coaster brakes, im assuming they are newer than the bike.... i was told the bike was from 1950... but the serial # is CXXXXX... so my guess from what i seen online was 1963.... i plan to upgrade to a newer coaster brake wheelset  and i would like the tires to fill the fenders so they dont look small but not soo big that they rub... i would love to know the stock rim and tire size to hopefully happily meet my needs.

i have another thread with pics but i can post them on here if someone can help enlighten me

i goofed 571-35 is 26x1 1/2   571-44 is 26x 1 3/4 sorry  william rudolph
