Ladies Imperial Mark IV : locating serial number

Hi

I recently was fortunate enough to pick up an old Ladies Mark IV from a local garage sale ($30) It needs work but I am sure it can be rejuvenated quite nicely.

I am trying to locate the serial number to find out when it was made, but for the life of me I cant find it. I have searched everywhere and can only find an X stamped on the bottom of the BB.

Any guidence would be appreciated.

I will post a few pics

Thanks

I checked locations where other memebers had suggested but it pertains more for a men's frame ; top tube/ seat post lug location but no luck. Unless it is stamped extremely lightly and the dust is covering it up?

Maybe check behind rear axle dropout on frame, looks like a 1965?Good Luck

Thank you JCCMCGREGOR! Hiding exactly where you suggested.

I believe the H suggests a 1975 date.
Does that make sense? I thought they stopped making or changed the name after 1970 or so?

Hmmmm

Should be a 1966,glad you found it.Let everyone know how it cleans up.

That red head badge says '60s, not '70s

This one is a 1965 model. The Imperial MK IV was only produced for the 1964 and 1965 model years, being replaced by the Imperial 700 for 1966. The H-code designates 1965 manufacture.

Thanks all! much appreciated.

Now to polisher her up for a Sunday ice cream ride :)
