Looking for a frame

Hi,

I am on the lookout for a men's 52cm CCM 10 speed frame that I can make into a fixed gear bicycle for a lady in my running group. She wants to stick with a men's frame! I want a CCM frame built between 1978 to 1982, if it is slightly earlier then 1978 that might be fine as well. The frame will all depend on if I can get a proper bottem bracket kit. She is 5'4". The frame will be soda or sand blasted and repainted.

If you know of anyone that can help me out, please let me no.

Regards,

Is there any particular reason that it has to be a CCM?  All the CCM 10 speeds of this era were really basic, with heavy, hi-tensile steel frames. Also, which bottom bracket shell style do you need, as their were two during this era. The 10 speed city/touring models used the threadless 2" diameter shell, while the 10 speed racing models used the threaded 1-1/2" diameter shell.  If it is the latter, you can extend your search back to 1973 in CCM. If you're willing to expand outside CCM, you can get something much lighter and designed for the more readily available 700C wheel size. For a fixed gear, the only real requirement is a horizontal rear droput for chain tensioning.
