Military Bicycles

Hi,  I am always looking for information, examples and parts of WW1-WW2 British and Canadian bicycles, or parts and fittings.  The British Mk iv and Mk v bikes are of interest, as well as the Planet Cadets  or CCM bikes used by cyclists during the Great War.  I am not certain what model of CCM bicycle was used.

I am attempting to reproduce the front and rear racks for the Mk iv bike, and would love to see and photograph  any surviving examples.  I belong to a living history group and we are slowly converting some modern made roadsters into bikes that will generally look like Mk iv bikes, but can be used and abused in our public programs at historic sites.  Once done, these will be marked with a modern date so that they will not readily be sold as antiques in the future.  I do have plans, manuals, and some fittings for the British bikes.

Some CCM's appear to have been issued or presented to the RCAF and possibly ground forces during the Second World War.  Canadians used the folding paratrooper BSA bicycle and the standard mk v roadsters by BSA and Phillips on D-Day, and  one photograph of casualties at Dieppe appears to show a Mk v bike on the beach.

Any assistance or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
