Greetings Folks,

My name is Joe. brand new to the site. Thought I'd say hello.

Have lurked for a little while. Some great historical information. Looking forward to learning more and hopefully contributing.

I'm an American living in Canada. CCM was exclusively a hockey company to us kids in 1970s Boston. As a teenager I saw a CCM Mustang out in Western Massachusetts and thought it was odd that a skate company would put their stamp on a bike. (Kind of like when baseball legend Ted Williams endorsed a bike and other sports gear for Sears.)

I've been into bicycles my entire 49 years. I raced BMX in the late 70s/early 80s. I switched to road bikes after that. Raced those bikes sporadically. After that it was all casual riding. In the last 12 years I've been collecting and saving bikes.

my preference is almost 100% for original finish bikes. I actually find it exhilarating to look at an original finish bike and imagine its history.
