Newbie from Cowtown

Hi all,

My introduction to old CCM's came this week when i picked up an old frame that someone had discarded. Turns out to be a 1933 girls Roadster (Loop frame?) by the serial number, (V12698). At first I though it was an old Raleigh, due to the saddle being english, and couldn't figure out why there was CCM parts on this old bike. it is the saphire blue version an needs a complete resto. the wheels, fenders and handle bars are all there, just no tires. Even has the old cloth rim tape. Any info would be welcomed and I sure do like some of the other bikes I have seen on this site. Thanks for having a great site and being so enthusiastic about a great old Canadian company.

Check out the Goodlife bike shop on 4str and 21 ave SW.

The have new Chinese made tires 28 X 11/4 (622) Canadian size tires, they also have Euro 28 inch.

Take a rim in to check fit, it's a do it yourself bike shop equipped with tools.

Sometimes I get lucky finding old CCM parts in the bins.

I have a 47 mens and 48 loop frame survivor (patina) bikes.

Good luck

Hi Yes I was in Goodlife also and it was great.  I am new to this forum so bear with me. I live in Chestermere so I go into Calgary often. I just posted a note re paint colors. I have no idea where it went. I'm 83 so I dont learn fast. If any one has any ideas on paint I would be greatfull. When my Grand Daughter comes over I will post pictures?
