39 columbia Motorbike

Anyone have a photo of a complete  original 39 Columbia CCM motorbike or catalogue shot .

Recently aquired one and wondering about stem and whether or not it came with truss rods .

Can't seem to find a good picture of a nice complete one on line .

Thanks

I'm not an expert on this but I believe by '39 all CCM bikes of certain models were the same, only the badges varied. So if that's the case then any catalogue image of a late '30s Motorbike should do, and all Motorbike style frames had a fork truss, some painted and some chrome.

hello bleeding ---     here is a scan of 39 motorbike.      Ron

Were there any other models of double bar made that year. Mine is a 39 but with CCM pedals and a single piece crank .

The 1939 economy motorbike model with a single piece crankset and CCM pedals was the Rambler Motorbike. However, if yours has the Columbia head badge, it would have originally been equipped with a Triplex crankset and CCM Gibson pedals. It's not unusual for  a 79 year old bicycle to have some replaced parts.

Thanks T-Mar, mine has a CCM headbadge. The previous owner had the bike in its original form, sold it  and then bought it back years later after it had been repainted. His story indicates it's pretty much original. The repaint is unfortunate because the bike is otherwise mint

Thanks guys picture and info was exactly what I needed .

Stem and seat are wrong on mine also needs truss rods .

It has been repainted but is a decent job except fenders are painted white instead of burgandy .

I have a set of nos burgandy striped fenders that I will put on front one has the shorter peak but like that style better anyway .

heres a picture of mine now that its done
