Hello, everybody!

Hello. My name is Jeremy from Calgary Alberta.

I have been a lover of bicycles and working on them since I was a young teen and made 3 junky BMX's into one good one. I have spent a lot of time working on and upgrading more modern bikes of the cross country and downhill type but have always wanted a nice vintage cruiser. As I'm sure you have guessed, I finally got around to aquiring one.

As far as I can tell, mainly from the wealth of information on this board, it is a 1965 CCM Rambler. It's a little rough around the edges but seems to be mostly original and I think I got it for a good price.

I'm still not sure of how far I want to go with the restoration. It definitely needs new tires and I am going to clean and re-grease all the bearings but I'm undecided if I want to refinish the frame.

Anyway here are some pics for you all to enjoy. If I'm wrong about what exactly it is, I'd love to know. Also if anyone knows a source in Canada for 26x1 1/2 (40-571) tires I would love to know that too!

And here it is, mostly stripped and cleaned up.

Jeremy,

Welcome to the forums. Based on the serial number, I believe your Rambler is a 1962 or 1963 model year.

HI Jeremy,

I too am interested in 26 by 1 and 1/2 tires.

Did you source any?

What size are you using now please?

I need to source some for my SCP.  It looks exactly like your except a my fenders are a bit more rusty.
