1920-ish Columbia Model 957

Old in the shop today:

1921 (?) Columbia model 957, 20" loop frame barn find with no history.

Unfortunately this was stored outside, literally behind the barn. I can restore the saddle, but the rims are rotted, so there's nothing I can do with those.

I'm guessing it's a 1921 because the only reference I found to Model 957 is the autumn 1921 Windsor Star advertisement. It has serial number 55122 which is before the CCM chart starts at A in '21, so maybe it's a '20?

Anyone have a catalogue from that period that can pin it down?

While I can't provide a definitive answer, I'd place it slightly earlier, most likely a 1919 model, possibly 1918. The 957 model indicates it was originally a Columbia Ladies' Roadster with B-grade equipment. The first character indicates the brand, with '9' being assigned to the Columbia brand. The '57'  indcates a Ladies' Roadster with B-grade equipment. The 57 series of Ladies' Roadsters can be found as early as the 1918 catalogue. I've seen other 50 series roadsters mentioned in 1917 advertisements but specifically the 57.

The early Weston serial numbers are a matter of some speculation. The only thing we can say for certain, is that it was built sometime during the period of 1917-1920 inclusive. There are some general, anecdotal figures for CCM production of this era. I used these to provide a rough guide for serial numbers for 1917-1920. Rather than reiterate my logic, you can read my post in this thread. https://www.vintageccm.com/content/1917-1920-ccm-serial-number-project

Thanks T-Mar, I knew you'd have a plausible answer. I'll put this Columbia as 1919 then.
