Barn find

Is Is this what is referred to as a CCM Mustang?  I found this yesterday in a local barn.  Serial number  A 094684.  I have been looking on the internet for serial number dates and have had no luck.  I am considering restoring it, if it is worth it.

Any ideas out there as to vintage.

Thanks Tom

The serail number and chainguard would be correct for a 1969 CCM Cheetah (the girl's version of the Mustang).

The most common color of these would be blue. Does it look like a repainted bike?

The seat doesn't look correct.

While I agree that the serial number indicates 1969, with all due repsect to ccmmusclebikes, I don't think this is a Cheetah. They utilized a secondary downtube that was not straight but slightly curved at the seat tube junction.  The straight secondary downtubeon the OP's bicycle indicates that it is a Rambler frame, either the Rambler Scrambler hi-riser or a Rambler Sidewalk model that was converted to a hi-riser. Given the colour, it's most likely a very weathered Rambler Scrambler, as these came in violet for 1969.

I have the boys version of the Rambler Scrambler. It was the first bike my parents bought me in '69.

And yes it was Violet with the handle bars and seat identical to Toms bike.

Unfortunately, I only have the frame, chain guard, part of the fork and the front wheel( with tire and tube that is still hoding air)

Frame was badly repainted blue but the steering tube inside the head tube is Violet.

I would like to rebuild if possible but I need alot of parts.

Crank, pedals, rear wheel, chain, forks, fenders, seat and sissy bar, handlebars.

Any help would be appreciated.
