Hi everyone
I recently acquired this vintage CCM girls bike frame and fenders. I am wondering as to the manufacture date for it. The serial number I found is 12013, it is not stamped into the frame but is raised, or embossed on it.
The 12013 is not the frame's serial number. It's the manufacturer's identifier for the bottom bracket shell. CCM bought these from various sources over the years. The serial number should be on either the seat lug or rear dropout.

Thanks T-Mar. Looking more closely at the frame, it is definitely a Rambler. I found the serial number but don't know what to make of it. Some of the numbers are upside down, so it is difficult to determine the beginning and end of the number. Hopefully you can make out what the number actually is from the pictures. I'm getting a Validation Error trying to attach the photos, will send them in another post.
That does appear to be the serial number but I can't see a year code, which sould be a letter at the start of the serial number. Based on the head badge and serial number location I'd place it somewhere during the period of 1959-1965. There were definitely Ramblers for 1962-1965 but I'm not sure about 1959-1961, as I don't have any literature for those years. They definitely weren't catalogued in 1958.

Hi T-Mar, it definitely is lacking a letter and the numbers appear to be a 2 8 followed by an upside down 4 5, with 876 further out on the dropout. I'll take the frame and the other girls Rambler and boys Ranger to the next bike show in June. Hopefully I can give them to a vendor there who can fix them or use them for parts.
Sorry pictures didn't attach, here they are...I hope!
