By the serial number this bike tells me it's a '57
I thought rear opening dropouts outs went to front facing post war?
Hi Everybody! I have a Rambler that I picked up. It appears to be similar to a Rambler 500 but has curved front forks and a metal head badge. The chainguard is what originally made me think it was a 500. The serial number is on the rear left drop out and is a bit of a anomaly as well. It is 269812, no letters. 28" rims and painted fenders. Any info to help me learn what this is would be great. It wasn't rideable when I bought it, both rims had a flat spot(like from being dropped), and there were a few spokes broken on the back.
I'm wondering what type of cable barrell is on the cable for this stick shift? There is a Sturmy Archer Three-Speed hub, but the cable and housing look less like an Authentic SA cable and more like a generic cable with generic housing. There is a cable stop as one would expect for three speed cable routing.
Thank you!
Here's an odd 1970 stamped 60's mustang meets X-16 meets 70's cantilever ... anyone else seen or own one?!
I've never seen this model personally before. Looks early 70's and thought I'd share a photo of it and a beauty gran turismo. Any info and insight would be welcomed!
Here's one I've got in a box. Sorry it's the only pic I have for now. It's a very large men's frame with a Fauber crank (patent 1898?). It has the US style angled drops, typical Massey CCM pinstripes and closed fork ends. I don't recall finding a serial number on it. It had no wheels but did have partial fenders and pedals. I'd welcome any info about it.
Found this really rough bike in a local junkyard that has been around since the '60s. The frame is too far gone but the head badge is very unique and I can't find another example on the internet. Serial number comes up as a 42.
