Deal of the day

not bad... unfortunately it's a loop frame.

it's worth buying at least for the parts value.

Seriously? You'd part it out simply because it's a girl's bike.

John

the value of a wman bike is les than a man bike....at first view, this bike is beautiful and solid, so it is not for pieces...the price is very correct anyway..

It bothers me when people would take a bike like this, that is all there, original and correct and then use it for parts for some other man's bicycle project. Chances are if your Mens bicycle needs this much work it's probably not worth it. Secondly what happens when we have used up all the ladies bicycles as parts? woudn't that eventually wind up driving the price up of a lady's bicycle becasue of the scarcity? also if you going to be a one man bicycle chop shop at least have the common decency to do it to more common 1970's or 1980's bicycles, not something of this age.

For my part I said that a girl bike is worth less than a bike for man. This bike is worth its price and that is why I say that this bike is not done for parts but to keep such what drivable... and I agree with Alan in relation to the rarity of this type of bike.wink

Well said Alan!

to all those shooting at me... I would part it out because I can't go to the bike shop and order replacement parts so you have to dig somewhere.

parting a bike that is too far gone to fix will give you trash parts.

Nobody is neccesarily shooting at you, we are all entitled to our opinions, but i do feel that a 30's-40's womans loop frame is just as aesthetically pleasing and the lines on it are pretty comparible to even a Flyte. I also feel that the one John had shared, badged as a Cleveland, is way too nice to be using as parts. In my opinion there are no other nicer looking womens bicycles that where made in all history that look as nice as a 30's-40's womans loop frame, and my wife that owns both a '39 and a'48 would have to agree.

Anyway, when a lady's bike is in excellent shape as John shows us, I don't see why he should sell it for parts.

For you old-bike, you had not specified that you talked about a bike too advance for being repaired or sold... even a piece of Rusty bike sells very well especially if it is very rare. ;)
