new guy with ccm bobcat monoshock

hello all

just picked up a early 70's i believe ccm bobcat monoshock with springer front end

bike appears all original,even possibly tires

it has been taken apart last night and will be blasted ,painted and rebuilt for my 9 yr old

looking to get some decals made for it also

Welcome to the forums. I'm sure your child will enjoy it. FYI, it is a 1977 model and the tyres are original.

I didn't know CCM made bmx bikes in the '70s, and I've never seen that monoshock before. Cool bike. Welcome and thanks for posting. Don't throw out the original tires, just put in new tubes.

thanks for the welcome and the info on the bike

the rear tire is on the strings and both tires are so rotten i could not inflate more than 15psi for fear of blowing out

the bike hasnt been used since 84 or so and it sat in my inlaws shed ever since 

i heard there was a bike there so i dug through 30 some yrs of junk ,found it and dragged it out last week to re do it

the kids rode it around after i pumped up the tires a bit

i plan on using a  telescopic set of front  shocks as i have a couple sets

the springer is pretty cool though,it was made by tange and has some pretty intricate engineering on it

 

 

 

the original tires will be cleaned ,probably clear coated and hung on the man cave wall

i bought a set of dure motocross grip white letter tires for it
