Sand in rims

Hi,

I wasn't sure where to post this.  It is a technical question.

The rims on the bike I am currently restoring have sand inside the rim. You can hear it when the wheel turns. I tried blowing it out, but it didn't seem to get the most of it.

The rims are 26 x 1.5 F12 V160 Made in Canada

Did anyone else ever encounter this problem?  How did you deal with it?

Thanks and take care,

Daryl

it's normal... it's a little loose rust moving.

if it really bothers you, pour some thick oil in the rim to stick the loose rust particles.

Thanks so much.  I'll do just that.

Take care,

Daryl

Hey Old-Bikes I had that rim rust also and just like your advice I used  aerosol oil product  rust check with a straw  applicator. Then used compressed air and blew it around through the holes.
